Regular Thematic Verb: λέγω

3rd person singular

Active Indicative Present λέγει he/she says
Active Subjunctive Present λέγῃ (that) he/she say
Active Optative Present λέγοι may he/she say
Middle/Passive Indicative Present λέγεται he/she says to him/herself
Middle/Passive Subjunctive Present λέγηται (that) he/she say to him/herself
Middle/Passive Optative Present λέγοιτο may he/she say to him/herself

General rules:

  • all forms end in a vowel or diphthong
  • singular is the same as 2nd person, without the final -ς
  • the subjunctive is the same as the indicative, with the desinence vowel lengthened (-ει- -> -εει- -> -ῃ-)
  • the optative always has the diphthong -οι- (-οι, -οιτο)
