Although I have already learned most of its alphabet, I’m now oficially starting to study Telugu. This is my first time learning a Dravidian language, so I guess it will take me some time to get used to it. However, I’ve been watching a few Telugu films, especially మాయాబజార్ (Mayabazar), and I am already in love with this language.
I’ll be using a few old books found on archive.org, such as:
- A Progressive Grammar of the Telugu Language
- A companion to Progressive Telugu Grammar
- A Grammar of the Telugu Language
- Telugu in Thirty Days
as well as youtube videos, especially news channels (such as Tv9) and the website http://www.learningtelugu.org/tutorials/let-us-speak.html. Of course I’ll be watching Telugu films as well, as Telugu film industry is one of the largest in the world.
