Die „Ich-liebe-Dich“-Mauer ist eine künstlerisch gestaltete Mauer am Montmartre in der französischen Hauptstadt Paris. Das Kunstwerk ist der Liebe gewidmet: Der Schriftzug „Ich liebe Dich“ ist hier in über 300 Varianten und 250 Sprachen der Welt zu finden.

Active Subjunctive Present λέγῃ (that) he/she say
Active Optative Present λέγοι may he/she say
Middle/Passive Indicative Present λέγεται he/she says to him/herself
Middle/Passive Subjunctive Present λέγηται (that) he/she say to him/herself
Middle/Passive Optative Present λέγοιτο may he/she say to him/herself

General rules:

  • all forms end in a vowel or diphthong
  • singular is the same as 2nd person, without the final -ς
  • the subjunctive is the same as the indicative, with the desinence vowel lengthened (-ει- -> -εει- -> -ῃ-)
  • the optative always has the diphthong -οι- (-οι, -οιτο)

Sometimes described as “the father of modern linguistics”, Noam Chomsky (born December 7, 1928) is an American linguist, philosopher, cognitive scientist, historian, and social critic, being a major figure in analytic philosophy and one of the founders of the field of cognitive science. He holds a joint appointment as Institute Professor Emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and laureate professor at the University of Arizona, and is the author of over 100 books on topics such as linguistics, war, politics, and mass media. While at Harvard, he developed the theory of Transformational Grammar; for this, he was awarded his doctorate in 1955.
